My Approach

After six years helping over 2,000 businesses navigate software decisions and managing account relationships for SaaS vendors, I founded Stack Champ to serve both sides of the software ecosystem. Here’s how I got here and what shaped my approach.

 01. My Story

Before going independent, I spent six years at an independent software comparison site, helping to build and scale their advisory program from the ground up. This program helped businesses find the right software, advise on the best platform for their needs, and connect them with the best fitting software vendors.

I joined the program just two months after it launched, back when it was in its infancy. By the time we were acquired, we had built it into a consistent revenue stream, and post-acquisition, I stepped into a lead role. I eventually grew the program to six-figure monthly revenue, moving from the sole consultant to leading the team and managing high-level partnerships with some of the major software providers in the industry.

The most rewarding part? People kept coming back. I became the first call for businesses every time their renewals came up. Even when my contacts at software vendors moved to new companies, they would reach out to bring me on board at their new home because of the rapport and results we’d built together.

This growth happened for two reasons: software vendors trusted my approach, and the businesses buying the software valued the honest expertise I provided.

Why I Went Independent

I realized many people I spoke with needed more than just recommendations. They wanted a partner to guide them through the whole journey from organizing demos and negotiating contracts to the final implementation.

Usually, that level of support is reserved for large enterprises with massive budgets, leaving smaller businesses to figure it out alone. I founded Stack Champ to change that. Whether you need a quick gut-check or full hands-on support, you can now get the expert guidance you need at a price that fits your budget.

Specific Expertise Areas

Over six years, I’ve advised on software across 300+ categories, with deep expertise in operations, HR, and sales management tools. I’ve helped companies avoid costly mistakes, negotiate better terms, and implement solutions that actually fit how they work.

Common scenarios I’ve supported:

  • Operations teams overwhelmed by project management options, looking for tools that match their workflow

  • Small businesses outgrowing basic CRMs but finding Salesforce too complex or expensive

  • Creative agencies needing integrated client management without juggling five different tools

  • Finance teams wanting forecasting systems that don’t require a data science degree

  • HR departments implementing platforms their team will actually use (not just check a compliance box)

Whether you’re evaluating a single tool or planning a broader transformation, I tailor the process to your goals, resources, and decision-making style.

 I’ve Helped Every Size Company

I’ve worked with businesses of all sizes – from one-person startups to large enterprises – across all industries: including construction contractors, professional service firms, government departments, global manufacturers, boutique retailers, specialist healthcare providers, and many more.

My focus is on supporting small to medium-sized businesses and growing companies. These teams often face the biggest challenges without the internal resources larger enterprises have.

A tool that works for one company may not suit another, even in the same industry. I help you find what’s right for your specific needs, ensuring the software fits your goals, structure, and how your team actually works.
